Husband and wife found dead inside Moweaqua home

MOWEAQUA, Ill. (WAND) - An investigation is underway after two people were found dead from apparent gunshot wounds in Moweaqua.

The Shelby County Coroner Brad Phegley told WAND News a son found the husband and wife dead Wednesday morning.

The Moweaqua Police Department responded to a 911 call in the 400 block of East Wall St. on Wednesday around 7:45 a.m.

They found Rebecca Trueblood and Danny Trueblood dead inside the home.

The investigation is ongoing. Police said there is no threat to the public.

The Moweaqua Police Department was assisted by the Shelby County Sheriff's Department, Shelby County Coroner and Illinois State Police.

Autopsies are planned for Thursday.
