JACKSONVILLE - Illinois College in Jacksonville names a new Provost and Dean after national search. Illinois College President Barbara Farley announced the appointment of Dr. Catharine O'Connell following a national search and she will begin July first. Dr. O'Connell served as Vice President for Academic Affairs and Student Life and Dean of Mary Baldwin College in Staunton Virginia. The search for a new provost and dean of the college began in November of 2015 after Dr. Elizabeth H. Tobin announced her retirement from the position, effective June 30.
