JACKSONVILLE, Ill. (WAND) — One person is dead after a Valentine's Day shooting in Jacksonville.
According to the Jacksonville Police Department, officers responded to reports of shots fired in the 800 block of West Chambers Avenue just after 5:40 p.m. Saturday.
Police found a person who was shot when they arrived. The victim was taken to the hospital, where they died.
Jacksonville PD said the identity of the victim will not be released until the victim's family is notified.
