PITTSBURGH (WAND) - An adorable 6-year-old has captured the hearts of thousands with her viral Girl Scout cookie pitch that's lead to her breaking record after record.Â
Pim Neill of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania is a Daisy Scout. Like many other Girl Scouts, she's been sporting her blue vest and going door to door selling cookies this season.Â
But Pim's dad, Luke Mandel Anorak-Neill, took it one step further, letting her post a video to TikTok with a link to her cookie sale website.Â
Pim's smile, curly hair, and glasses made for a cute video that quickly amassed millions of views and thousands of shares. Her original video posted on February 4 sits at just under 2 million views. Two of her other videos sit at 4.8 million and 1 million.
But it's not just views Pim is racking up. It's turning into real-time sales. As of February 12, she has sold almost 80,000 boxes.Â
Luke told WAND News that Pim is medically complex and deals with multiple medical conditions but that she has never let that stop her.Â
It started as a goal to get her family to Niagara Falls, one of the top prizes for cookie sales for the Girl Scouts in the Western District of Pennsylvania. Niagara Falls has a special place in the family's hearts. Pim, her dad Luke, and his partner Don were supposed to go there last year. Don and Luke had taken a trip there together after meeting and beginning their relationship.Â
However, Don got sick, now requiring a double lung transplant. So, the trip was canceled. Luke said Don will finally meet all the UNOS requirements to be listed for transplant next month.
"Knowing she will get to go see Niagara Falls is a really BIG deal because we do not know literally, how much time Dad Don has left," Luke said.Â
Pim has already broken the record for the most Girl Scout cookies sold in one year, the previous record being over 44,000. The record for lifetime sales by one scout is 180,000 boxes.Â
Online sales for her continue through March 22. Boxes can be shipped across the country. She has sold to all 50 states.Â
Pim's troop is brand new, made up of 11 girls. Luke said her troop leader is renting a Uhaul to pick up all of the cookies. The troop is not sure yet what they will do with the cookie sale money, but have been discussing an animal shelter fundraiser project.Â
Girl Scouts Western Pennsylvania sent WAND News a statement saying, "Girl Scouts Western Pennsylvania is so proud of Pim's success in reaching her goals in the cookie program and excited about all the fun things her and her troop will do with the proceeds. The Girl Scout Cookie Program helps provide amazing experiences for girls of all ages, even for girls as young as kindergarten, like Pim. If you want to support Girl Scouts selling cookies in your area, visit girlscoutcookies.org to find a local booth, purchase cookies and/or to donate cookies for local community causes. All proceeds from cookie sales stay with local councils and troops to power Girl Scouts' amazing experiences year-round."Â
