PAXTON, Ill. (WAND) — A person is in the hospital and all lanes are closed after a three vehicle crash on I-57 Wednesday morning.Â
It happened just after 4 a.m. on I-57 northbound near milepost 261.
Illinois State Police said a semi-truck went off the road and hit a guardrail. The truck rolled over, blocking the right lane. It also ripped up about 60 feet of guardrail.
A car and another semi-truck hit the dislodged guardrail.
The driver of the second semi-truck was taken to the hospital. Police said nobody else was hurt.
All northbound lanes of I-57 are shut down, and ISP said they will stay closed for several hours.Â
