DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) – Gas prices across Illinois continue to crush consumers with little hope of those prices dropping anytime soon.
With President Donald Trump threatening to increase attacks on Iran, prices for oil on the world markets skyrocketed, trading between $111 and $115 a barrel.
In the Decatur area, prices as of Tuesday ranged from about $4.19 to $4.29 a gallon.
According to AAA, the average national price for a gallon of gas is $4.14 a gallon. The statewide average in Illinois is $4.36.
