SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WAND) - City, Water, Light and Power is recognizing Fix a Leak Week, an effort to help its customers reduce household water waste annually.Â
Fix a Leak Week will take place from March 16 to 22.Â
CWLP said it encourages customers to check for leaks around the house, twist and tighten faucet connections and replace the fixture if needed.Â
"Making easy corrections to fix leaks, such as to faulty toilet flappers and dripping faucets, could equate to a 10% bill savings and also preserves the city’s water resources," said CWLP Water Division Manager Todd LaFountain in a statement.
