DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - Dove Inc. hosted an open conversation in Decatur on Wednesday regarding the future of its Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP).
RSVP faces a major funding cliff in the coming weeks.
If the program's federal funding application is not approved, it will also lose access to important state dollars.
"We work to have seniors 55 and better involved in the community and keep them going, keep them healthy, keep the community going. So it's really beneficial to both sides of that equation," said RSVP Director at Dove Inc., Angie Williams.
Additional information on the program is online.
