DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - Macon County fire departments are getting a funding boost.
The City of Decatur said in a Facebook post on Wednesday that departments are getting $150,000 each from the Howard G. Buffett Foundation.
Smaller fire districts and agencies that assist in Macon County will also be included.
The Foundation is gifting over $2 million in total to fire protection and prevention efforts.
