CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WAND) — An investigation is underway after a porch caught fire in Champaign Friday morning.
The Champaign Fire Department responded to a single-family home in the 800 block of West Vine Street just before 12 p.m.
The department said firefighters found a small fire at the front porch of the home when they arrived. The fire was quickly brought under control.
According to the fire department, the cause of the fire is still under investigation. Nobody was home at the time, and nobody was hurt. The residents in the home will not be displaced.
