DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - The Social Project, an event through the Macon County Mental Health Board, will take place next month. 

It will take place from 3-7 p.m. Thursday, June 11, at the Decatur Civic Center. 

According to the Macon County Mental Health Board, the event was designed to make meeting other people easier and fun. 

Those interested can enjoy food, prizes and sign up for free small group hangouts and experiences. 

Attendees can also sign up for Chicago Cubs tickets, water aerobics at Splash Cove, pickleball lessons at Cresthaven Park, tickets to shows at the Devon Amphitheater, animal encounters/tours at Scovill Zoo and more. 

The event is free to the public.
