HARRISTOWN, Ill. (WAND) - Crews are responding to a major fire in Harristown late Thursday afternoon. 

The fire is happening at the Township Hall on N Meridian St. 

A WAND News reporter on the scene captured the building engulfed in flames, and a thick cloud of smoke that could be seen from miles away.  

It is not clear how the fire started, or if anyone was inside the building.
