MONTICELLO, Ill. (WAND) — A Monticello non-profit is hosting a gala featuring a former NFL player to raise money and bring awareness to substance abuse.
Marisa's Purpose will host the "Gridiron Gala" on Friday, March 6.
Marisa's Purpose is a Monticello non-profit focused on bringing awareness about addiction by giving families the knowledge and tools to communicate with each other about the dangers of alcohol and drugs, according to the organization's website.
The event will be co-hosted by former Tampa Bay Buccaneer's player Randy Grimes. It will feature raffles, live and silent auctions, food and drinks. There will be live music and a meet and greet with country singer Josh Norrad.
Tickets cost $60 and can be found on the Marisa's Purpose website. It will be held at Allerton Park & Retreat Center. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m.Â
