Haunted Houses
Necrosis Haunted House
Named a top 10 haunted house by HauntedIllinois.com for the last four years, Necrosis is entering its seventh season in 2025. Admission ranges from $25-$30, depending on the date. Ticket information and a full schedule can be found on their website.

Clinton's Terror on Washington St. Haunted House
Clinton's Terror on Washington Street haunted house has been open for over 30 years. It is put on by the Clinton Chamber of Commerce every year.
When: Fridays and Saturdays in October from 7-11 p.m.

Izabella's Curse
Abandon all hope to all ye who enter Decatur, as Izabella's Curse will soon be awakened.

Pumpkin Patches/Apple Orchards
The Great Pumpkin Patch
It's The Great Pumpkin Patch, Charlie Brown! Arthur's pumpkin patch is officially open for its 36th season and allows attendees to check out nearly 300 varieties of pumpkins, gourds and squash from over 20 countries around the globe.
Among the activities available to check out are mazes and wagon rides, gardens and displays, the Homestead Bakery, the Two Mile Sweet Shop, Cucurbit Market, historic buildings, live music and more.

Curtis Orchard and Pumpkin Patch
Curtis Orchard is a family-run farm in Champaign that has a pumpkin patch, apple picking, outdoor activities and a country store selling fresh products like apple cider, donuts and pies. Admission and parking are free, but attractions like apple picking are ticketed. More information can be found on their website.
When: Hours vary throughout seasons. In September, the orchard is open Monday-Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Negangard Pumpkin Patch
This pumpkin patch in Champaign County has been selling pumpkins since the 1970s. It features a field full of pumpkins ready for people to buy during the holiday season.
When: Opening day on September 27, open daily from 9 a.m. until dark all the way to Halloween.

Black Bart's Pumpkin Patch
Black Bart's, located in Warrensburg, offers more than just pumpkin picking. Be sure to check out the craft store, where you can find refreshments. Enjoy the Spooky Glow Area, the $1 corn maze, and the pirate ship play area. There's also a grain bin play area, a petting zoo with goats, a scarecrow stuffing station, and fun photo opportunities with face cut-out signs.
When: Opening day September 20, closed on Tuesdays, open 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. all other days of the week, Sunday open 11 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Gail's Pumpkin Patch
Gail's has over 60 varieties of pumpkins and gourds, baked goods and a maze. The pumpkin patch will now offer duck races and John Deere barrel train rides.
Their first day of the season is Wednesday, September 10. They will be open 6 days a week through October 31.
When: 12 to 5 p.m. on Sunday-Monday and Wednesday-Friday. They will be open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays, and will be closed on Tuesdays.

Okaw Valley Orchard
A family run orchard in Sullivan, known for their apple cider donuts, the orchard features over 1500 fruit trees growing 27 different fruits ranging from apples, peaches, plums, and pears.
When: Open Monday's - Saturday's 9 a.m. - 5 p.m., and Sunday's 12 p.m. - 5 a.m.

Bomke's Patch
Bomke's Patch has been open since 2009, offering pumpkins during the fall and Christmas trees during the winter. The patch has 13 acres with over 50 varieties of pumpkins and gourds. They also have attractions like wagon rides, a petting zoo, a corn maze and a bounce house.
When: Open Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. through October 25.

Kristin's Pumpkin Patch
This patch offers over 30 varieties of pumpkins and gourds spanning 5 acres of land. Kristin's Pumpkin Patch gives visitors a set of clippers and a wagon to head out to the patch and pick out their pumpkin. There is also a hayride and a 4 acre corn maze.
When: Fridays from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Last day of the season is October 31.

Pumpkin Creek Farms
Open since 2014, Pumpkin Creek Farms is a family owned and operated pumpkin patch. They have a U-Pick Patch and pre-picked pumpkins. New in 2025, the farm has a giant slide, tractor pull and candied nuts available in their country store.
When: Tuesday-Thursday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Friday-Saturday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Sunday 12 p.m. to 6 p.m., last day of the season is November 2.

Crowley Pumpkins
Crowley offers pumpkins, gourds and squash as well as products like mums and hay bales. They also offer a corn maze, and have an annual pumpkin glow event closer to Halloween.
When: Monday-Wednesday 6-8 p.m., Friday 6-8 p.m., Saturday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Mariah's Mums and More
Mariah's has plenty of experiences, from picking your own mums and pumpkins to picking strawberries. They have the largest variety of mums grown in one place in Illinois, a farm store and concessions.

Wagon Wheel Pumpkin Farm
This farm offers events throughout the season, including family fun day on October 5. They have u-pick pumpkins, food options, photo opportunities and a range of entertainment for kids.

Rader Family Farms
From an 8 acre corn maze, to activities like pedal karts, a low ropes challenge course and apple blasters, Rader Family Farms offer a large variety of fun activities. They have multiple dining options, an apple orchard and pumpkins for sale.

Fall Festivals/Events
LLCC's "Haunted Lab"
Lincoln Land Community College is bringing back their Haunted Lab event. Attendees can enjoy "spooky" science demonstrations, hands-on activities and learn about experiments they can try at home. Demonstrations will feature bubbles, color changes, and fire. It is a free event open to children of all ages accompanied by a parent or guardian. There will be popcorn and costumes are welcome.
When: Friday, October 24 from 5-8:30 p.m.

Cornerstone Christian Trunk or Treat and Maze Craze
Church members will gather in the parking lot to distribute tons of candy from their decorated car trunks. Enjoy a giant cardboard maze, hot dogs, drinks, and more! Preschool and elementary-aged children are welcome to attend with their parents or guardians. Feel free to come in costume, rain or shine!

“Dress Up the Dog”at Gail’s Pumpkin Patch
The first 25 dogs in costume will receive a free Pup Cup, which includes vanilla ice cream with peanut butter and a pumpkin-flavored dog bone.
The Dog House will offer Honey Battered Corn Dogs, served by Lincoln Land Catering. Attendees can enjoy activities on the farm with their leashed dogs, featuring special music by California Jeff and free popcorn wagon rides.

Lincoln Log Cabin Torchlight Halloween Hike and Wiener Roast
Visitors are invited to walk along torch-lit paths on the Lincoln Log Cabin State Historic Site. There will be music, storytelling, bonfires and a wiener roast near the visitor center. Proceeds will benefit educational and interpretive programs at the site.
When: Saturday, October 25, 5-8 p.m.

Decatur Family Fall Festival
A group of Downtown Decatur food businesses are teaming up to host a new Decatur fall festival, with intentions of making it an annual event. The festival will span two streets, with one street featuring family friendly activities and the other catered towards adults 21 and over. The streets will be connected by a stage featuring performances throughout the day.
When: Saturday, October 18 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Fall Harvest Festival
The Macon County Conservation District is hosting their Fall Harvest Festival, featuring lots of fall-themed, family friendly activities. There will be 3D archery, canoes, pumpkin painting and wagon rides. The Homestead Prairie Farm will be open for free tours, and there will be concessions for purchase. Archery and canoeing are $3 per person, pumpkin painting is $5 per person and all other events are free.

Fall for Mahomet
Fall for Mahomet offers a full day of free family fun, highlighted by vendors, a beer tent, a barrel train, food trucks and live music performed by local artists Tom Grassman and Dave N Lisa.

Magickal Halloween Extravaganza
The second annual All Hallows' Eve Vendor Fair will feature over 50 vendors. Other activities available to attendees include face painting, make your own tie-dye shirt, a blow-up planetarium, tarot, oracle, reiki and intuitive readers, and more.

Jacksonville Main Street Pumpkin Festival
The Jacksonville Main Street Pumpkin Festival offers fun for everyone. There will be pet and kid costumer contests, opportunities to decorate pumpkins, cookies and donuts and a hot wings challenge. New this year, they will also feature inflatable costume races.
When: October 18 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

A Night of Frightful Delights
The event will raise funds and support for Kidzeum of Health and Science. It is adults only, and will feature food, goodie bags, and the unveiling of Kidzeum's new courtyard furniture. Ticket information can be found on their website.

Hardy's Reindeer Ranch Fall Corn Maze
Hardy's Reindeer Ranch mazes cover a full 10 acres of land. Each year, the maze is designed with 8 checkpoints, and visitors need to find all 8 hole punches and find their way out. The maze typically takes between 1-3 hours to complete.

The 4th annual Harvest Festival is celebrating the season change with carnival rides, vendors, a haunted hayride and a demolition derby. There are kid friendly and full fright hours for the hayrides.
