ARTHUR, Ill. — It may not feel like fall just yet, but The Great Pumpkin Patch in Arthur is officially open for its 36th season.
Owner Mac Condill says the farm has been in the family for generations—he’s the fifth, with his children now the sixth. For him, the patch is about more than pumpkins; it's a way to bring families together.
“That’s what it’s all about—getting people out of their homes and experiencing the season of fall..." he says. "I don’t think anybody does autumn like we do."
The 166-year-old family farm features pumpkin and gourd displays, animals, and a bakery full of homemade fall treats. Condill says it’s a one-stop shop for families looking to make memories.
“Don’t just make one trip. Support your local farmers, make those memories as a family, and enjoy the Arthur area,” he added.
The Great Pumpkin Patch is now open to visitors for the 2025 fall season. It runs Wednesdays through Sundays from 9am to 6pm. For more information, click here.
