DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) — One man is dead and another is being treated for life-threatening injuries following a rollover crash Wednesday morning. 

The Decatur Police Department said that the crash happened just before 11:30 a.m. near the intersection of North Water Street and East Mound Road, near Target and Olive Garden.

Decatur police stated that the driver of a white SUV was turning left onto East Mound Road from North Water St. with a green arrow. 

A silver truck traveling north on North Water St. ran the red light and slammed into the SUV in the intersection. 

First responders completely blocked off the section for several hours. The intersection has since reopened. 

DPD said that the SUV driver was a 72-year-old Decatur man who was pronounced dead at the scene. 

Meanwhile, the truck driver is a 32-year-old Decatur man being treated for life-threatening injuries at a local hospital. 

No other passengers were in either vehicle. 

There is no indication that either driver was under the influence of alcohol, according to Decatur police. 

No other information is available.
