SULLIVAN, Ill. (WAND) — The City of Sullivan issued a water conservation notice for its residents Thursday morning.
According to a post on the city's Facebook page, their wells are having difficulty keeping up with demand due to drought conditions, causing a water shortage in the community.
The city is asking all residents and businesses to conserve as much water as possible until further notice. Non-essential water use like lawn watering and car washing should be limited.
The city said they will continue monitoring the situation and provide updates as they become available.
