URBANA, Ill. (WAND) - More money is going to building affordable homes in Urbana.

Urbana City Council approved about $230,000 for Habitat for Humanity of Champaign County on Monday night to build five single-family homes.

Habitat will now be part of the Urbana HOME Consortium, a program that works to create affordable rentals and homes for low-income Champaign County neighbors.

Families are expected to begin moving into the new houses this summer and fall.
