URBANA, Ill. (WAND) - Urbana City Council voted Monday night to delay a vote on a proposed apartment building development.
The developer has planned a 32-unit building standing four stories, from 413 to 419 West Main Street.
Public input was heard by members, who said they have carefully considered their concerns about affordability and the need for more housing.
Members needed clarification from corporation counsel on a motion to continue discussion at another council meeting.
City staff said the ordinance approving a preliminary and final development plan for the apartments will now be moved to the July 6 council meeting.
