URBANA, Ill. (WAND) - The City of Urbana cut the ribbon at its newest fire station on Monday.
The new Station 2 is located on East Mumford Drive.Â
Community members were invited to meet with firefighters and check out the station.Â
"This is something that many of the people in the fire department will only experience once, if at all. So for us to be able to do this is incredible, and we love to share that with you. So, on behalf of the men and women of the Urbana Fire Department, welcome to your new fire station," said Urbana Fire Department Deputy Chief Steve Doggett.
Urbana has four other fire stations in the city.Â
