Urbana Park District closing facilities early Wednesday due to severe weather threat

URBANA, Ill. (WAND) - The Urbana Park District will close all of its facilities late Wednesday afternoon due to severe weather threats.

According to the park district, all facilities will close at 5 p.m. Wednesday, and all evening activities are postponed.

Summer camps will end by 3 p.m., and parents must pick up campers between 2-3 p.m.

Urbana's Juneteenth Celebration has also been moved from Wednesday to Thursday, from 5:30-8 p.m. at Prairie Park.

The park district anticipates resuming its regular schedule on Thursday, weather permitting.
