BOONE, IA. (WAND) — The 2024 Farm Progress Show has wrapped up and organizers say this year's show was a success. The show has not released official numbers yet.

But thousands of people were out at the grounds in Boone, Iowa to check out the advancements in equipment and technology, including quite a few people from central Illinois.

The three day show was jammed packed with several discussions and exhibitors showing off what they have to offer.

National President of the Farm Progress Show Matt Jungmann said it was great to see so many people at the show checking out the new technology and field demonstrations.

"It's been an amazing show. It's absolutely been an A-plus. Most of that is thanks to Mother Nature. It's been a little warm, but for the most part, it's been a fantastic show. And we haven't been able to run field demonstrations in Boone since 2018. We missed 2020. We didn't get the corn in the ground in time in 2022. So it's been a long time. The crowds out at the demonstrations were fantastic," said Jungmann.

Jungmann said the attendance on the first and second day of the show was phenomenal. Those are usually they days schools and other groups come to the show.

Now that the show in Boone is complete, work is now underway to prepare for the show's return to Decatur next year.

In 2025, Progress City will celebrate 10 years of hosting the show.
