Decatur Police say around 9:30 Thursday night they were called to 1228 N. Union St. for a shooting.

Marvin Perry, 22, was shot and taken to Decatur Memorial Hospital. Perry later died from his injuries. An autopsy showed Perry died from a single gun shot wound to the chest.

  

Police arrested 28 Year old Joshua Jones for first degree murder, early this morning.

Police have not yet released a motive at this time. The murder is currently under the investigation by Decatur Police Detectives.
