FORSYTH, Ill. (WAND) - Players from the Maroa-Forsyth football team spent their day off shoveling and clearing neighbors' driveways and sidewalks.

Early Monday morning, Head Coach Josh Jostes posted on social media, letting people in the Maroa-Forsyth area know that some of his players would be shoveling driveways and sidewalks for free.

WAND News met with members of the team early Monday morning as they were clearing driveways. Delo Owen said his teammates were happy to do it for free.

"It doesn't matter about the money; it's just about helping people," he said.

Coach Jostes said his players cleared nearly 20 homes.
