DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - Decatur residents can dispose of hazardous waste for free on Oct. 27.Â
Household-generated hazardous waste items such as lawn & garden chemicals, automotive fluids, solvents, pool chemicals, harsh cleaners, mercury, hobby chemicals, fluorescent bulbs and oil-based paints may be dropped-off without charge for proper disposal by any Illinois resident.
Electronics can also be dropped off, but comes with a fee.
The drop off does require a registration in advance. you can register by going to this website.
