EFFINGHAM, Ill. (WAND) - A man has been charged with a hit-and-run crash that happened last month in Effingham.Â
Illinois State Police were contacted by Effingham police on September 29 to investigate a crash that happened on September 28 at 11:19 p.m. at the intersection of Holiday Drive and North Maple Street.Â
A woman was hit by a golf cart as she was riding her scooter. She was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.Â
ISP identified 39-year-old Dustin Brown as a suspect.Â
On October 17, Brown was issued the following charges by the Cumberland County State's Attorney:Â
- Failure to Report a Crash Involving Injury or Death - Class 2 Felony
- Failure to Report a Crash Involving Injury - Class 4 Felony
- Failure to Reduce Speed to Avoid and Accident - Class A MisdemeanorÂ
