EFFINGHAM, Ill. (WAND) - A trial date is set for an Altamont man arrested last month after being accused of illegal videotaping at an Effingham restaurant. 

The Effingham Police Department said that officers responded to a report after 1 p.m. Sept. 29, of an unknown man, later identified as 22-year-old Dylan Ritchel of Altamont, taking photographs of women in the women's bathroom at Golden Corral on the Ave of Mid America. 

Effingham police stated that Ritchel was arrested shortly after officers arrived.

According to court records, Ritchel has pleaded not guilty to the charges during a preliminary hearing Wednesday.  

Pretrial for Ritchel is set for 1 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 4, with a jury trial at 8:30 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 15.
