DANVILLE, Ill. (WAND) - A motorcyclist was killed in a crash in Danville Friday.Â
Danville police were called to Gilbert Street and North Street at 3:34 p.m. Officers found a 46-year-old Danville man with severe injuries after they said his motorcycle hit a vehicle. The man was taken to the hospital where he died.Â
DPD and Illinois State Police investigators said the motorcyclist was going south on Gilbert Street when he ran a red light at the intersection and hit the driver-side door of a vehicle as it was going east on North Street.Â
The victim's name has not been released yet. No other injuries were reported.Â
