DANVILLE, Ill. (WAND) - Two people are dead following a three-vehicle accident in Vermilion County Wednesday afternoon.
The Vermilion County Coroner said in a press release that a motor vehicle accident involving the three vehicles was heading south on State Route 1.
Michael Vermillion, 51, of Danville, died in the accident, as identified by the coroner.
On Thursday, the Champaign County Coroner said that a second victim, 52-year-old Patricia Hood of Danville, was pronounced dead in the hospital just before 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Autopsies for Hood and Vermillion have been scheduled.
The accident is still under investigation.
