(WAND) - Certain cheese products have been recalled over a potential listeria outbreak that could be deadly.
Stores nationwide are pulling grated Pecorino Romano cheese products, including stores in Illinois.Â
The original recall started in November, but the Food and Drug Administration upgraded the recall last week over the chances for serious health consequences, or even death.Â
Recalled brands include Boar's Head, Pinna, Locatelli and Sam's Club cheeses.Â
A list of recalled products is as follows, per the FDA's announcement:
- Locatelli Pecorino Romano Grated 4 oz. and 8 oz. cup
- Locatelli Grated Pecorino Romano
- Boar’s Head Grated Pecorino Romano 6 oz. cup
- Boar’s Head Pecorino Romano Grated bag
- Pinna Grated Pecorino Romano
- Ambriola Grated Pecorino Romano
- Member’s Mark Pecorino Romano 1.5 lb. bag
No other products from that company were included in the recall.
Additional information on the recall, including expiration dates, is on the FDA's website. Â
