CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WAND) — A home was heavily damaged, but no injuries were reported at a house fire in Champaign.
The Champaign Fire Department arrived to the 1600 block of Normandy Dr. around 1 p.m. on Wednesday. The fire had been reported by someone living in the single-family home.
Multiple hose lines were used to quickly bring the fire under control. Despite CFD's efforts, the department said that a neighboring home did sustain some damage from the heat of the fire.
The cause is currently unknown, and CFD did not report how many residents were displaced by the fire.
