Roseland Theatre

PANA, Ill. (WAND)- The Roseland Theatre, which has been a beloved establishment for over 50 years, is in need of renovations. The Pana Business Alliance is committed to helping the theatre secure funding for these improvements.

Their goal is to raise $100,000 through sponsorships, grants, and donations. According to Katie Robertson, the Vice President of the Pana Business Alliance and Manager of the Roseland Theatre, there are several areas that require attention. These include replacing tiles, purchasing new chairs and seats, expanding the stage, and more.

The community has been actively participating to offer assistance, and she hopes they will continue to do so.

"We try to do something fun every now and then and try and get as many people in the door as possible, so that maybe in a month they can see something completely different and realize that their money is going towards bettering this place and it's going to continue to do so," said Robertson.

As for the Secretary and Economic Director for the City of Pana Kirby Casner, she's hopefully that through this alliance, it can not only help revitalize the Roseland Theatre, but the community as a whole.

"The Pana business alliance is instrumental in bringing local businesses together, really incorporating the community and different events that we're doing and really promoting downtown Pana," said Casner.
