Parkland reaches tentative agreement with faculty union

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WAND) — Parkland College released a joint statement with the school's academic union announcing a tentative agreement.

"Parkland College and the Parkland Academic Employees (PAE) are pleased to share they have reached a tentative agreement. PAE leadership will be taking the agreement to their membership for a ratification vote early next week. The contract will then be presented to the Board of Trustees for final approval at the next meeting date. We look forward to another successful academic year and remain united in our commitment to Parkland students and the communities we serve."

The union's current contract expires this Sunday, and Parkland's fall semester begins Aug. 19.
