BUFFALO, Ill. (WAND) - Part of Main Street in Buffalo is closed after fiber workers hit a natural gas line on Wednesday. 

Buffalo is a village in Sangamon County about 18 minutes from Springfield.

The Buffalo Illinois Fire Protection District said that Main Street from Charles St. to McManus St. remains closed.  

Ameren is working to stop the leak.
