DANVILLE, Ill. (WAND) - A 75-year-old woman was shot inside her own house while getting ready for bed, Danville police said.
The Danville Police Department was called around 9 p.m. Monday to the 1000 block of Moore Street for a person shot.

Officers were in the area and heard approximately 20 shots being fired before the 911 call.

Officers found the victim within seconds, a 75-year-old woman who had been shot while she was in the bedroom of her home.

The victim was transported to an area hospital, where she is listed as stable with non-life-threatening injuries.

Officers found several high-caliber ammunition casings at the scene.

There are currently no leads, and the Danville Police Department has no suspects in the shooting.
