RANTOUL, Ill. (WAND) — A man has been taken into custody and charged in relation to an April shooting that killed one in Rantoul.
Argenis Rincon, a 32-year-old Rantoul man, was arrested and charged with murder on Wednesday afternoon.

According to a Champaign County Sheriff's Office investigation, Rincon met with the victim, Jonalberto Guadalupe Sanchez, 24, on April 15 after a dispute over a previous relationship. During the encounter, Guadalupe Sanchez was shot in the upper torso and transported to a hospital where he died from his injuries.
Rincon is currently in custody at the Champaign County Correctional Center. The murder is still under investigation.
