DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - After 45 shows this season, staff at the Devon aren't slowing down as they continue preparations for the 2025 season. While this was the first season year Dustin Bradshaw served as the General Manager, he said he's happy with how the shows turned out.

"This year we've done more shows than we ever have in the past," said Bradshaw. "We were here sometimes four days a week, and so we talked about doing a few less shows next year but making them better, bigger, more quality shows and that's something we're working really hard on."

Bradshaw says they are still aiming to keep the line up full of a variety of genres so everyone can find shows they like. He also hinted that the venue is preparing to add another type of show to expand the Devon's reputation as a performance space.

This was the first season the Devon operated with the expanded front gate area and restrooms. This helped the thousands of guests attending shows get in more quickly, have easier access to restrooms, and connect with venue staff when needed. This made an impression on performers, who spoke highly of the venue and its staff.

Every single artist that ever comes here wants to come back, and it's not only because of the venue itself, but its the atmosphere that the people bring, my staff is amazing," said Bradshaw. "The view here and everything about the Devon they live, it's just trying to bring in that next new thing."

Bradshaw said the calendar for next year is mostly complete, although there are almost always changes before performances start. He said it will still be a few months until any show dates are announced.
