DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) — The Decatur Police Department has charged two men in the April murder of a 65-year-old.
On May 7, John E. Inman, 40, and Trimarion D. Howell, 20, were arrested for the death of Darrell D. Coon Jr. Both were charged with first degree murder and are being held at the Macon County Jail.

The shooting occurred on April 15 of this year. DPD arrived to the 800 block of S. Jasper Street around 6:45 p.m. and found the body of 65-year-old Coon. He had sustained multiple gunshot wounds.
Detectives processed the scene and found multiple shell casings. On April 30, video and photos were released by the department to assist in identifying the suspects.

All individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
