SHUMWAY, IL- Two people are dead after a two car accident in Effingham County over the weekend. 

The crash happened Saturday at the intersection of East State Highway 33 and 500th Street in Shumway.

Illinois State Police say the driver, 43 year-old Nancee Ford of Effingham, didn't stop at the sign on 500th street.

A second driver, 20 year-old Nathen Boehm, crashed into the passenger side of Ford's car.

Ford and her passenger, Troy Waldhoff, were both pronounced dead at the scene.

Boehm was taken to an area hospital for treatment to his injuries.
