SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WAND) - Two people were shot at Sangamon Towers Monday.Â
Springfield Police were called to 424 N. 4th St. at 12:50 a.m. for a report of a shooting. They found a 24-year-old man in the front lobby with two gunshot wounds. The other victim, a 25-year-old woman was inside an apartment within Sangamon Towers with two gunshot wounds.
Both victims were taken by ambulance to Springfield Memorial Hospital for treatment. Their injuries are non-life threatening.
Springfield Police Detectives and Crime Scene Services responded to collect evidence and investigate the incident.
