Two semi-trucks involved in I-70 crash

EFFINGHAM COUNTY, Ill. (WAND) – Two semi-trucks crashed in Effingham County on Tuesday. 

State troopers shut down part of Interstate 70 at mile post 102 after the crash, which shut down both lanes in the area. Traffic moved to Interstate 57 at the north tri-level (Interstate 70 mile post 98, Interstate 57 at mile post 163).

Troopers did not provide any details about what caused the crash or give an update about injuries when WAND-TV called at 8:50 p.m. 

Drivers are asked to find different routes while the road remained closed. Both I-70 lanes are expected to be back open by 11:30 p.m. Tuesday.Â
