Urbana family loses home to overnight fire

URBANA, Ill. (WAND) - The Urbana Fire Department was called out for a house fire Sunday night. 

Crews responded to the 500 block of Glover Ave. D around 8:40 p.m. 

Firefighters found fire on the second floor of the home and extinguished it quickly.

No one was home at the time, and no injuries were reported.

The fire was extinguished and deemed under control within 40 minutes after crews arrived.

The homeowners were told the house was uninhabitable.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
