(WAND) - Warmer weather sticks around this week across central Illinois.

A warming trend that got underway around the middle of last week really kicked in Sunday with highs in the low-50s.

While skies will be mostly cloudy today, southwesterly winds will push highs to near 60°.

A few light showers are possible tonight with mostly sunny skies returning Tuesday and highs well into the 50s.

Another system brings shower chances Wednesday and it'll remain warm with highs well into the 50s again.

It cools off a bit late week into the weekend, but highs will stay above average in the 40s and 50s.
