VIRGINIA, IL- A central Illinois mother is now a wanted fugitive.
After Jennifer Watkins missed court Tuesday, a Cass County judge issued a warrant for her arrest. Watkins has also failed to follow visitation orders.
The parents of murdered Ashland man and Jennifer's ex-husband Steven Watkins want the right to see their granddaughter Sydney.
A Cass County judge ruled in the grandparents' favor, and an appeals court upheld the ruling.
Sydney's mother Jennifer reportedly moved to Florida to keep the girl away from her paternal grandparents.
Jennifer's grandmother, Shirley Skinner, is in prison serving 55 years for Steven Watkins' murder.
Both of Jennifer's attorneys have withdrawn from case. They say after numerous attempts of trying to contact her with no reply, this was the final straw.Â
