winter weather advisory

(WAND) - Winter returns to Central Illinois Friday and Saturday.

Snow is likely today and it'll be heavy at times.  It'll come to an end by this evening.
 
A "Winter Weather Advisory" covers much of Central Illinois.
 
Accumulations will range from 1-2" north to 2-4" south.  There could be some 5" totals.

It'll turn very cold after the snow with lows tonight around 10°-15°, but it'll feel like zero with the winds.
 
Sunshine returns this weekend, but Saturday will be very cold with highs around 30°.
 
A warming trend kicks in Sunday with highs in the low-to-mid-40s.

By Monday, we'll reach 50°, the mid-50s by Tuesday, and close to 60° Wednesday.
