Ill. (WAND) — On Saturday, hundreds of volunteers with Wreaths Across America braved the chilly rain to place wreaths on graves at National Cemeteries nationwide.

The fallen at Danville National Cemetery and Camp Butler National Cemetery in Springfield both received wreaths placed by volunteers.

More than 1,300 wreaths were placed at Camp Butler, where Gold Star Mission volunteers placed many wreaths in the icy rain.

And in Danville, Rep. Brandun Schweizer served as the guest speaker.
