Bill Oliver served over two decades on the Macon County Board and more than 21 years as a Decatur City Councilman. Those who knew him say his leadership went far beyond any title.

City leaders are working to revitalize Decatur, and the project is more than just adding new buildings. It is a long-term investment for the future. 

The Metro Decatur Black Chamber of Commerce hosted a church service, which served as a way to commemorate the life and legacy of King and to bridge the gap between different community groups. 

Community members in Mt. Zion gathered at the MLK gala Sunday, not just to celebrate the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., but to reflect on his mission of service, unity and justice.
