DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - The Chicago Bears selected Michigan tight end Colston Loveland with the 10th pick in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft on Thursday.Â
Colston, a Gooding, Idaho, native, is expected to compliment current Bears tight end Cole Kmet.Â
Bears General Manager Ryan Poles told chicagobears.com that Colston has a dynamic skillset and can excel at run-blocking. He's expected to fit into new head coach Ben Johnson's system that excelled in Detroit with multiple tight ends.
At Michigan, Loveland grabbed 11 touchdowns and more than 1,400 yards receiving in three seasons. He's a two-time All-Big Ten Conference selection and was a Second-Team All-American last season.Â
The Bears have six picks remaining in the 2025 NFL Draft, including picks 39 and 41 in the second round and pick 72 in the third round.Â
