DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) – The long-running, top-rated high school sports show Friday Frenzy returns to WAND on Friday.
The Original Friday Frenzy has aired on WAND for more than 30 years.
It airs every Friday night at 10:15 p.m. on WAND News during the 2025-2026 high school football and basketball seasons. Frenzy 15 will air at 10:35 p.m. on the free streaming app WAND Now.
Frenzy features action-packed highlights, player and coach interviews, Illini football and top plays. Frenzy 15, back for its second season, offers even more highlights, in-depth breakdowns, standings, and more.
New for this season, viewers can submit their own highlights through the WAND Send It feature. The best plays of the night could be featured on Frenzy.
Legendary sportswriter Mark Tupper also returns for his regular Tupper’s Take contributions. And each Friday WAND Sports will highlight an outstanding student athlete in the Athlete of the Week segment.
Week 1 of Friday Frenzy will also feature the season kickoff for the No. 12 Illinois Fighting Illini as they face off against Western Illinois.
“Sports are what brings our communities together, and Friday Frenzy has captured that excitement and triumph for several decades,” said WAND Sports Director Adeena Balthazor. “From touchdowns to slam dunks, rivalries, and championships, Frenzy is the place to see the best of what sports has to offer in central Illinois.”
Both Friday Frenzy and Frenzy 15 can also be seen on WAND’s streaming platform WAND Now – available for download on your Smart TV or mobile device. The programs are available live and on-demand.
Frenzy and Frenzy 15 is anchored by WAND Sports Director Adeena Balthazor, and sports reporters Jake Bedell and Ben Machi.
