(WAND) - The #9 Illinois Fighting Illini put their six-game winning streak on the line at home as they look to wrangle the Broncos of Western Michigan.

Illinois sits at 2-0 following a decisive road win over the Duke Blue Devils. After holding just a one-point lead at halftime, the Fighting Illini outscored those pesky devils 31-6 in the second half. The win earned head coach Bret Bielema his 30th win with the team, making him the fourth-fastest to achieve that mark in program history.

Western Michigan is coming off a 23-6 loss to Big Ten opponent Michigan State. While the Illini hold a 4-2 lead in the all-time series, the Broncos won the most recent matchup in Champaign back in 2016, 34-10. That season, WMU finished 13-1, with the lone loss coming to Wisconsin in the Cotton Bowl.
